Our Rug Cleaning Process

We offer 2 separate rug cleaning methods, Pick Up Rug Cleaning, and In-Home Rug Cleaning. For most rug types, we recommend our hassle-free pick up service, but please check out our in-home rug cleaning options page to learn more about our different cleaning methods.

• Rug Dusting: By applying a fast succession of small vibrations, soil, dust, and other contaminants are dislodged from your rug fiber. This step helps us remove dry contaminants without inadvertently grinding soil into the carpet pile. This step releases so much dirt without any wear or tear; but it’s only available with our pickup cleaning service.
• Vacuuming: : We vacuum both sides of your rug, and our industrial vacuum is able to extract the grit that most vacuums leave behind.
• Air pressure washing: : Using a custom made air nozzle, we gently push air through the rug pile to release remaining particulates. Most of the grit that can cause damage during the washing stage are removed, so as not to harm the fiber in later stages.
• Pre-spotting: : When done properly, pre-spotting is a laborious art. Our rug specialists match your fiber type and stain type to find the optimal cleanser. We only use organic cleansers to pre-spot any rug stains.
• Preconditioning: During this stage, we will use one of our many organic conditioning agents to gently loosen any soil from the carpet fiber.
• Submersion Wash: This step can change depending on your rug, but most rugs should be cleaned using a submersion wash. With this method, the rug is lowered into a ph balanced bath of organic cleansers. If light scrubbing is required, it is accomplished under water, to guard the fiber from damages. Submersion is the most critical cleaning step for most rugs.
• Rinsing: Simple but critical; having the rug at our factory allows us to rinse it properly, making sure that detergents, soiling, and foreign particulates are properly washed away.
• Drying: Another step that cannot be accomplished in the home, by using our centrifugal drying machine and hang drying, your rug will not warp or distort during the drying process.
